The Crux earns affiliate commissions on some outbound links. We only recommend something after judging it on its merits, and the commission never changes the pick.

In plain terms: some outbound links on our reviews are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It costs you nothing and it changes nothing about what we recommend.

Our rule

We choose the pick first, on the merits, and add the links afterwards. If the best option in a category has no affiliate program, it still wins. If nothing is worth recommending, we say that instead of pointing you at whatever pays.
